how to scrub your email list

How to Clean an Email List

Do you have a neglected email list or have you purchased an existing email from someone else? I explain why you need to perform routine maintenance on your list.

If your email list is stagnant and unresponsive, it will lower deliverability, or even worse, getting marked as spam. Recently, I had the opportunity to acquire an existing email list. I take you through the exact steps of what I did to revitalize it and introduce myself to the subscribers.

I moved the list over to the PT Email Engine. We created The PT Email Engine to be a one-stop-shop to maximize your email list. I could’t just move them over without their knowledge or consent.

NEVER subscribing emails to a list without consent!

I use a “9 word email” to reach out to all of the subscribers to start warming up the list. From there. we have different strategies and automations that will trigger depending on how they respond.

If you’re interested in learning more about how we leverage the power of the PT Email Engine to get the most of our email lists, DM to learn more!

The 5-Step Coronavirus Business Launch Plan

I launched my practice at the bottom of the recession in 2008, and you can absolutely launch yours during this Coronavirus pandemic.

Today, I wanted to share the five things you need to do to launch your practice now.

Commit

Just commit to doing it. Don’t dance around the idea or wait until the “time is right.” There is no better time than now.

Patients Don’t Have the Same Problems

…But you can still help them. During the Coronavirus pandemic, people’s problems have changed. They still have back pain, but it could be for a different reason now. Maybe they haven’t worked out during the quarantine and are suddenly starting again, etc.

Your goal should be to get those people to choose you over a crowded medical facility. You need to be their solution.

Money Is Still Flowing

First off, get comfortable talking about money. Everyone is afraid that there is no more money, but that is definitely not true. Zoom has a ton of money right now. Amazon has more than they know what to do with. Remember that money is a tool for doing good. It’s okay to ask for money in exchange for your help.

Use a Proven Formula

Why re-invent the wheel? Use my formula and improve upon it. Do me one better. Go out and create an even bigger impact in the world.

Get a Business Coach

My belief is that you need a coach and community to keep you accountable. Otherwise, you’re going to still be waiting for “someday.”

You spend a thousand dollars for a con-ed class, yet you hesitate to pay the same for a coaching program? Learning business, marketing and sales will help you grow so much more than having a few additional letters after your name.

Just like you had a clinical instructor for clinical skills, you should have a business instructor for business skills.

You’re Not “Too Green” to Start a Physical Therapy Business

I was listening to a podcast recently where the “expert” was basically telling the listeners to stop trying because they weren’t ready and were “too green.”

Today, I wanted to share how I feel about that.

People tell new-grad physical therapists all the time that they don’t have enough experience. They get told that they can’t start their own practice because there won’t be a clinical mentor in the room, as if they are dangerous.

Hell, new grads will be told they can’t start their own business, even if they have prior business experience!

You have everything you need to be successful with you right here, right now. You are not “too green.”

If you’re only hearing doubt, get those people out of your life. Surround yourself with people who support you and tell you that success is just around the corner… because it is.

Speaking of surrounding yourself with supporters, have you joined The CashPT Nation yet?

It’s Not Enough to Create a Job for Yourself

I always hear from people who say they love being physical therapists and getting their patients results, but that there’s no way they can do that in the job they are working in.

They may feel forced to open their own practice, but don’t know the first thing about starting a business. So, their option for burnout may be to quit the profession entirely.

There are people out there who need your expertise. The best way to maximize your impact is to assemble a team around you.

Don’t be afraid to build a business that can be sold one day. It’s daunting, but…

…it’s all about turning that job you built yourself into an empire.

If you’re looking for additional guidance during this tough time, consider joining The CashPT Nation!

What Are You Waiting For? Your Time Is Now!

Right now is your time.

It’s either your time to grow and thrive, or it’s your time to quit.

That’s what the world is saying right now. Are you ready to quit, or are you ready to knock this out of the park?

Right now is a test to see if you can figure it out. Are you truly in this for the long haul? If you are, you’ll have to get creative. You may not be able to come within six feet of your patients, but you can still help them. People need you.

If your schedule has cleared out, think of it as extra time to work on the thing you’ve always been meaning to do. Work on building up the foundation of your business so that when this is all over, you’ll be even stronger for it.

This is also an opportunity to use telehealth to teach. If you can solve problems, you’ll come out on top.

You get to decide how you react and grow from this. So, what are you going to do?

What Is a Mastermind Group and Why Should I Join One?

In today’s post, I wanted to share what a “mastermind” truly is, my journey with them, and why they can be so beneficial for your business!

Let’s jump into it.

People have had questions as to what a mastermind is, so I wanted to address those today. A lot of people will say that they already belong to a “mastermind” and want to know the difference between mine and whoever else’s.

First of all, I’ve been in two different masterminds over the course of about three years now: the 7-Figure Formula Mastermind and the Empire Mastermind.

The first year I started working with my current coach Bedros, my consulting business grew 250%. I put in the work, but he gave me the guidance. This last year the growth wasn’t necessarily monetary, but in time. I was able to spend over 80 days out of the office with my family.

Because of the huge successes I’d made in mastermind groups, I decided to start my own.

My current CashPT Platinum Mastermind is very different from what we first launched…

We first launched a $97/month program that gave you access to a Facebook group and a course. Then, when I saw people weren’t getting what they needed, I raised the price to $397 to give them more coaching time. That, unfortunately, didn’t work either. People still didn’t show up to calls or participate within the group. And so, I gave up that extra $30,000 in recurring revenue. I knew that with that model, I still couldn’t help people the way they needed to be.

So how is my current Platinum Mastermind program different? My students pay $1,500 a month. They get access to calls with me and the group, three in-person meetings a year, and all of my programs and courses.

Here are some ways to tell if you’re in a mastermind or not:

You’re NOT in a mastermind if…

  • You’re investing less than $1,500 a month
  • You have access to just a Facebook group or course
  • You work with a coach, but don’t have one-on-one access to them
  • It’s just a group that cheers you on and doesn’t hold you accountable

You ARE in a mastermind if you…

  • Meet together on a regular basis
  • Get coaching in a group so that multiple people’s problems are solved at once
  • Have access to a coach who can show you what you need and help you with the 10x problems, not just the small “Which intake software should I use?” problems
  • Get shit done!

My mastermind members get one year’s worth of results in 90 days. If that’s something you’d be interested in, learn more here!

The One Thing You Have That They Don’t: Passion

Every single one of you has something that others don’t…

It’s tenacity. It’s drive. It’s passion.

These are going to allow you to transcend the struggle so that you can help people. What you have is the ability to get up every day and keep pushing play, keep moving forward, because your patients need you.

They may not need you in the same way, but people still need you. Problems are changing, but they are still out there waiting for you to fix.

Your future is up to you to decide. Don’t wait for the APTA’s telehealth webinar next week, because they are way too late. Your future is determined by your own actions. Be tenacious.

Everyone Wants to Start a Side Hustle… But What Really Is One?

We’re talking starting a side hustle today. What exactly they are, why they aren’t as easy as they sound, and how to get started.

A side hustle is something you do for people on the side. It’s a part-time gig. Five to ten hours a week, maybe more, that brings in an extra $500-$1000 per month. It’s not that you just lost your job and need to make income. This is something you’re passionate about.

I’ve seen a lot of people who start side hustles fail because their expectation was that it was going to hit right away. It isn’t going to be easy, but here is a quick formula to help:

  1. You have to have a great idea.
  2. There has to be a problem to solve.
  3. You need one of two things to make it work: money or time.

For example, you can get a business up and rolling, but if you didn’t put in the time to build an audience, you’re not going to have anyone to buy from you.

Once you build that audience, you have to build trust with them. Give results in advance and show value. One of the ways you can show value is to answer people’s questions for free. That’s how I started LeBauer Consulting. I helped people online with their questions and realized I could turn it into a business.

The bigger the problem you can solve, the more revenue you will bring in and the bigger impact you will have.

If you’re interested in my help turning your side hustle into your main hustle, you may be the perfect fit to sit-in at my next Mastermind event…

The Best 10x Profit and Growth Strategy to Implement Right Now

Today, I’m going to share with you a truly transformational growth formula for putting the afterburners on your business.

Chances are, you’re probably struggling in your business in some way. That problem may not be patient volume; it may be that you have no free time to do the things you want to do. Maybe if you go on vacation, you lose income. I used to be there too.

Here’s what you need to do to encourage growth!

Ask yourself these questions:

  1. Where are you right now?
  2. How much revenue do you have? How much do you need?
  3. Do you have the number of patients you’d like?
  4. What marketing strategies are working?
  5. What’s not working?
  6. How much time do you have with your family? How much do you want?
  7. Are you able to work out daily? Do you have free time?
  8. Where do you want to go?

Sometimes, it’s hard to know the answers to these by yourself. There have certainly been times when I’ve helped my Mastermind students see things that were right in front of them. We all do this.

Don’t be afraid to share the answers to these questions with me, so we can help you uncover time, money, and impact.
